Helen Telford is a Senior Manager for Francis Group specialising in health leadership with a background in service development initiatives within a wide variety of organisations and cultures. She is an experienced leader at local, regional and national levels in both private and public sector organisations. Helen has a rare mix of business skills and abilities in managing relationships. Experienced in working within complex environments and managing tensions, she has led many teams to successful outcomes.
Helen provides a leadership role in much of Francis Group’s health sector work and is a specialist in programme and project management and frequently provides assurance and oversight to large and complex programmes.
Recent roles have included: Project Quality Advisor for interRAI roll out in aged care residences within New Zealand, Whänau Ora service model design for Pacific Trust Canterbury, review of radiology services for Middlemore Hospital, development of a Workforce Strategy for South Canterbury DHB, Programme Manager for Hawke’s Bay PHO merger and DHB Community Health Services establishment, and relationship manager for ACC and Primary Health Collectives.
Helen is a Project Management Professional (PMP), South Island Chair for the Project Management Institute of New Zealand and holds a Bachelor in Social Science and Masters in Social Work.
